For the VMA’s Selena chose a lovely smokey eye makeup which matches her style perfectly. To recreate this type of makeup you need to start by covering any skin imperfections using makeup and the cheekbones need to be subtly enhanced using a soft pink blush. The blush needs to be applied subtly to give the complexion a natural innocent coloration.
The colors used to create the smokey eye makeup were indigo and white, and the combination looked fabulous; not too dark and not too bright. Black eyeliner is a must when it comes to this type of makeup on the eyelid as well as on the waterline, as this helps the eyes stand out more. The eyelashes need to be coated with black colored mascara in order to complete this elegant and refined look.
